#2. Not getting a GOOD Real Estate Lawyer To Review The “Status Certificate”.

I’ve met literally hundreds of Lawyers. Family Law Lawyers, Litigators, Real Estate Lawyers, you name it.

And what I’m about to say applies to every profession whether it’s Lawyers, Accountants, Financial Planners, or Realtors.

There is ALWAYS a difference in knowledge, skill, integrity, and overall value. Not necessarily price but quality of what you get for your money!

Cheapest is rarely the best value. You get what you pay for (in any profession).

And just because every Realtor has their real estate license does not mean every Realtor can sell every property

And contrary to what many people think, every Lawyer does not know the law as well as other Lawyers.

And even if every Lawyer would know the correct answer to a legal question if asked, not every Lawyer pays the same attention to detail when reviewing documents.

Which is effectively the primary thing you’re hiring them for with the exception of criminal lawyers who work in trials by Jury.

I’ve seen real estate lawyers quickly review a Status Certificate and miss important things for a buyer to consider.

And I know Real Estate Lawyers who will catch every important thing you have to be aware of as a Buyer.

So if you’re looking at buying a condo and want the name of the best Real Estate Lawyers to review the Status Certificate before you have a firm deal just ask me and I’d be happy to give you their contact information.

And If you are thinking of buying a condo in Toronto and want to talk more about how to do it safely and smoothly … I’m always happy to chat.
